Stuffed animals?

I need to know if it's permissible to keep stuffed animals in the house. Growing up, I was always told it was impermissible as they were images of living things. Thus, I was always forbidden from keeping them on my bed as a child. However, now I'm being told that it's alright to keep them as children are allowed to play with them. Reading some fatwas on this topic, the only prevention about them that I can see is that you shouldn't spend money on them as you would be wasting your money on extravagant things. However, I just want to know if it's permissible to keep them in a room, for decoration purposes as many people are now telling me that it's okay.

I already saw these, Brother, that's why I commented on them in my post (extravagant spending and whatnot). Does anyone know the actual answer to the question though? I'm not talking about buying stuffed animals, I'm talking about displaying them.

The fatwas about "stuffed animals" on Islam Q & A are about what is called *Tahneet* or in English..*Taxidermy*

So they do not fit your query ukhti

However..I did find something on *dolls* from the same site..do you wish to read it?..it's still not an exact match..but perhaps it can help you determine the Islamic perspective on *toys* altogether?..if you want it..let me know and inshallah I will post it for you right here
