Problem....

Thank You Allah!
Assalamu alaikum :hijabi:

I hope everyone is doing well (I know I always start by saying this, gotta think of something else next time lol  )

Okkk first, I gotta little question  Alrightyy, I heard from many people that a woman's prayer will not be accepted if a non-mahram man sees her (praying). Is this true?? I haven't seen it in any hadith but many people are saying this.

Okk so the problem is...our school ends at like 3:30, and Asr starts at 2:15 (or something). My bestfriend tells me that there is time for her to pray Asr at school. But the thing is, everywhere she goes (to find a place to pray), there are many guys...and your prayer will not be accpeted if guys see you praying (thats what she tells me). SOO there is no other place for her to pray except at home. But by the time she gets home, its already Maghrib. I tell her its alright if there's guys, but praying at home is NOT good because its ALMOST maghrib when she gets home.

Soo yeaaaaa...my question is, is it true that our prayers won't be accepted if guys see us praying?? If it is, well...what do you think my friend should do about this problem??

Thank youuuuuu :hearts:

peace upon u sister

what is written below just thinking in the issue but not a trusted answer

first of all keep in ur mind that u have to be sure that ALLAH will accept ur

prayer and that`s the Good thinking of great ALLAH.

secondly gzakom ALLAH khiran coz u save no effort and did ur best

in finding such a place and remember what ALLAH said

16 Sûrat At-Taghâbun
(Mutual Loss and Gain) LXIV

and the translation is "So keep your duty to Allah and fear Him as much as

you can; listen and obey; and spend in charity, that is better for

yourselves. And whosoever is saved from his own covetousness, then they

are the successful ones "

and it was narrated about the prophet in the meaning of " the best rows of

men is the first and for women is the last"

also it was narrated about A`esha the prophet`s spouse that

she used to pray in such a place where no one can see her and

also she used to enter the room where the prophet and Abu Bakr were

buried while wearing no scarf or somehow but after Omar was buried

with his friends she was entering while wearing an entire clothing .

As-salaamu `alaykum

Do you know of any proof for this? If you don't, I don't see why you should listen to her. The nullifiers of the salaah are documented and known, and from the most basic of fiqh affairs that we study. Please, I am interested in what the reasoning/proof behind this is, because I haven't seen a single aayah, or hadeeth or the opinion of any Imaam indicate that if men see you, then you're salaah is valid. That's like saying that women's salaah is null and void in Masjid Al-Haraam! We always see women praying there!

Asalaamualaykum,

Think about all the women who go to Hajj or pray at the Masjids, not everyone around them is their Mahram and it's likely they'll be seen. :)

wow people say so much wrong information about islam, does that mean that all these women in hajj dont have their prayers accepted? at times in hajj it can be so busy, u can be doing tawaf and then the adhan starts so on some occasions in hajj, women end up unavoidablly praying next to men, does that mean their prayer is invalid? not at all.

You don't need to be sorry sister. We are not angry with you for asking, rather we hate it when people pass on these cultural beliefs, as if they are from the religion. They pass them with no knowledge, may Allaah guide us all. It's good you mentioned the issue. I'd never heard of this belief before.
