elloo!! Eid Question????

Assalamu alikum brothers and sisters in Islam!

EID MUBARAAAAAAAAAAKK!!
hope you're having a FANTASTIC EID DAY!!

ok I have a question.... since today is friday and it's Eid. It's true that we will not pray friday prayers like usual?? because we prayed EId and that's enough?? I have heard that but I wanted to make sure.

well, not so sure because we did NOT pray Jumma at all.....I am a bit confused but yea non of the Masjids around us prayed Jumma (we have only two). so yea, I dont know what to think no more but I guess the Immams know better than I do

My Imaam said that some scholars have said so and others have said no. IMHO, Jum`a is fardh while Eid prayer is Sunna, so I don't see how a fardh can be trumped by a Sunna. For women, Jum`a is not required, so it may be a different ruling for them. Other members may know a good daleel. God knows best. Eid Mubaarak to you and your loved ones.

You have the choice to attend the friday Khotba if you attended the Eid prayer. The Imaam has to give the Ghotba to create the opportunity for those who want to attend the Friday Ghotba and those who didn't pray Eid prayer.

People who didn't pray Eid prayer they have to attend the Friday Ghotba.

Please keep in mind: If you choose not to attend the Friday chotba, you have to pray the duhr ( four raka3aat)

we've prayed the jumha,and as the brother sayed,a fardh(obligation)can't be dropped down by a sunnah!

even if ordinary muslims dont plan to pray jumuah, its a duty upon imams to estabilish friday prayer even on the day of eids (as there could be few who want to pray.)

I went to this one masjid so I cannot talk about the other one in my city. But I was there to attend Khutbah, and nobody did <confused> we only prayed Dhuhur with the Imam.
Anyway, hehehe to be honest I am confused !
