Haram soap???

Assalaam wu alaykum!

I recently discovered that soap is made from animal fat. How would I know if my Lever 2000 or Irish Spring or even that cheap 3-for-$1 soap is not from PIG FAT?????

Assuming it is, how then could I pray after I ignorantly soaked myself in Na'jis ?????

Salaam,

Just call the companies (their info numbers are usually located on the label) and ask if any animal prodcuts were used. Remember that Islam is about intention and not sins committed in ignorance. Allah swt is al-Raheem.

BTW: the number for Lever2000 is 1-866-My-Lever (1-866-695-3837), Monday - Friday, 8:30a.m. - 6:00p.m. EST.

And according to Irish Springs website they do not use any animal products in their merchandise. So no worries there.

Not every soap is made from animal fat. Even in my place all soaps are made from palm fat/oil. It's better if you looking for an information, which soap that sale in your place that made from plantation fat.
