quick question

:salam2: everyone hope you are all doing well inshaAllah

my bank is such that i receive interest on a monthly basis and whilst I have spoken to the bank several times on different occassions regarding the Islamic stance in interest (and that I do not want any ammount added to my account) I still have it credited, despite the staff telling me every time that the interest will no longer be added. I know from my statements how much interest is being added so I know how much I will need to remove from my account at the end of a period. my question is, what do I do with this money? burn it? I know i cant give it to charity because it is also haram for someone to benefit from it, so what do I do?

shukran in advance

Who told you its 'HARAM' to give it to charity?! Give it to a poor person, But you will not get any reward for it (from Allah). At least you're helping someone. Do Not burn it :)

are you sure osman? i thought and have been informed also that one should not benefit- or give to others who will benefit- from interest. do you mean i should give it to a non-muslim charity?

but if i was to give to a muslim, then they would benefit from something that is haram- interest- so why would i give something to a muslim that Allah has 'waged war on'- in surah baqarah

first option is to use Islamic banking. if not possible, you can use other banks but take the interest money from them and give it to poor muslims.

brother OsMaN_93 is totally right. why do you want to burn it? use it for charity.

Sheikh: If any interest is paid on the deposited money, then it must be got rid of, by spending it on various charitable causes.
