You seem to be from Pakistan/India. Please consult the books written by Nasim Hijazi too. Actually they are in novel form, but give a very elaborative information about the era. And these novels are not some unislamic fuss, but are a master piece of Islamic Psychology. Some books written by him are about Spain:
1- Shaheen
2- Andheri Raat kay musaafir (If I correctly remember this is about Spain).
3- Dastan-e-Mujahid
