As Salamu Alaykum,
Thank you for the warning. I am ignorant about the sects of Islam. All I know is Ash ha du Anla-Ilaha Illallah wa Ashhadu Anna Muhammadar Rasulullah. And that Al Qur'an say:
Al-Ahzab
Verily in the messenger of Allah ye have a good example for him who looketh unto Allah and the Last Day, and remembereth Allah much. (21)
Al-Araf
Say (O Muhammad): O mankind! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah to you all - (the messenger of) Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. There is no God save Him. He quickeneth and He giveth death. So believe in Allah and His messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, who believeth in Allah and in His Words, and follow him that haply ye may be led aright.
Al-Ahzab
And it becometh not a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His messenger have decided an affair (for them), that they should (after that) claim any say in their affair; and whoso is rebellious to Allah and His messenger, he verily goeth astray in error manifest. (36)
An-Nisa
But nay, by thy Lord, they will not believe (in truth) until they make thee judge of what is in dispute between them and find within themselves no dislike of that which thou decidest, and submit with full submission. (65)
So, again, I thank you. I am still learning Aqeedah that is how little I know.
But, I do believe that if a person has sincerity in their intention and beliefs in their heart that Sifât adh-Dhâtiyya of Allahu ta’âlâ :
al-Wujûd,
al-Qidam,
al-Baqâ’,
al-Wahdâniyya,
al-Mukhâlafatu li-l-hawâdith,
al-Qiy âmu bi nafsihî.
and if they have faith
Sifât ath-Thubûtiyya of Allahu ta’âlâ
Hayât,
‘Ilm,
Sam’,
Basar,
Qudrat,
Irâda,
Kalâm,
Takwîn.
And, if they have faith in
Angels
Heavenly Books
The Prophets from Adaam to Muhammad (PBUT)
In The Last Day
Qadar
If they are practicing
SALAH
Zakat
If they fast during Ramadan and , if able, make the hajj
then
Al-Baqara
There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who rejecteth false deities and believeth in Allah hath grasped a firm handhold which will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower. (256)
I do appreciate your concern and advice, but please remember that it is so easy for us to forget what Jesus son of Mary is alleged to have said
Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Mat 7:3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Mat 7:4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Joh 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
It saddens me that there is division where there shouldn't be any. I know that it is an obligation to enjoin good and forbid evil
Al-E-Imran
Ye are the best community that hath been raised up for mankind. Ye enjoin right conduct and forbid indecency; and ye believe in Allah. And if the People of the Scripture had believed it had been better for them. Some of them are believers; but most of them are evil-livers. (110)
I just wish that we could have that unity that the early disciples of Yeshua and Muhammad had.
Act 4:32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
I do understand that your concern and advice comes from a desire to help and it has but I can't help but to be sadden that there is so much division amongst us when the only friends we have are:
Al-Maeda
Your friend can be only Allah; and His messenger and those who believe, who establish worship and pay the poordue, and bow down (in prayer). (55)
Again thank you. I know that the way to ever lasting life is a narrow path and the way to destruction is wide and whenever you see me moving toward the edge of that narrow path please do warn me. And, as your brother in Islam, I will when I learn more, Insha Allah, the same for each of you.
And, please do not take anything I said as being a rebuke. I am just saddened by the fact that it seems that the Ummah might be going the same direction as the Sadducee and Pharisee of the jews, the followers of the deen of Jesus after the passage of time. We have such a clear message and yet we seem to be doing no better with it than those who practice Shirk since the early "Christians" were told:
James 2:9:Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
