Smile for Allah
Salaam to all my TTI brothers and sisters.
Okay, my story is a little complicated, and I've been really troubled for a while. But now I have some options and hopefully someone can help me make some sense of this stuff.
So my family has lived half their life in India, and half in USA. Till last year, I was in India but my life was going absolutely nowhere. I had applied for my parents greencard, just as a possibility of going back to the US. We got a response from the Embassy that I must be in America to sponsor them. Then a lot of stuff happened, and I suddenly decided to move to America, which I did back in November. I've been living with some acqaintances since then and its been four months, and I haven't been able to find a real full time job. I'm just working part time at a silly place and doing some volunteer work in a hospital administration section. I search every single day for more and more jobs and have applied to practically thousands of places. No response. Not even a glimmer of hope. I've been crushed and I've cried more times than I can count anymore. And I'm tired of staying at other people's houses.
I'd sent the necessary documents to my parents for their sponsorship, and within a week of the submission, my parents got their immigrant visa. (Whereas for everyone else we know who went through this, the process has taken more than a year and a half...). And they have to move here by July at the latest.
Now, here is the situation. My parents are not moving to the same city I am in. They'll be moving to where we were before, in Minnesota. So what should I do? Should I continue where I am for four months, by getting my own place to stay temporarily?? Or should I move back home, and then come back with my family?? If I stay, I'll accumulate job experience, and then it will be easier for me to apply for more jobs in MN. If I leave, no job experience.
But I just want other's opinion on this. It's not financially easy to travel back and forth across the world either....
Please advise.
