How shall I understand this bad dream?

Assalamo alaykom,

Last night I dreamt a dream that for me was really bad. I just woke up 50 minutes ago so I'm still feeling down and a bit afraid.

I wish only Muslims to answer on this thread, no Christians or other non-Muslims telling me that my dream means I shall be Christian again. That will never happen inshaAllah.

*deleted*

Believe me, I really don't feel good after this dream. And probably the cause of dreaming it is otherwise weak iman (which I feel actually is very high) or all conversations I have with my parents who call Islam the "Devil cult".

I want to ask you what you think and how you think I can do something about it.

Assalamo alaykom,

The dream was that I saw the Judgment day (probably) and it was fire everywhere and the world was being demolished. At the same time I was walking towards something and then I saw Shaytan a bit above me who thanked me for leading so many Muslims to Hell.

Believe me, I really don't feel good after this dream. And probably the cause of dreaming it is otherwise weak iman (which I feel actually is very high) or all conversations I have with my parents who call Islam the "Devil cult".

I want to ask you what you think and how you think I can do something about it.

My dearest Sister,
Cool down!!!
The first thing to do when waking up from bad dream is istighfar say:)astag:)many time
then join your hand together say du'a in any language
you feel comfortable asking Allah swt for protection.
Then continue your sleeping (if that you wish)
Think nothing out of it :)
Dreams can be a result of many think for example: could be a message or too tired, too much thinking or too much watching horror movie e.t.c e.t.c...

But on top of that always ask Allah swt for protection and guidance in whatever and whenever you do :)

~May Allah swt help you sister~Amin!

And

:tti_sister:May Allah swt blesses upon all muslim~Amin!

Take Care!
Thank you,

~Wassalam :)

You can read ayat al kursi and two nafl before going to bed.

It was reported that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) put me in charge of guarding the zakaah of Ramadaan. Someone came and started to scatter the food. I took hold of him and said, ‘I will take you to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).’… He said, ‘When you go to bed, recite Aayat al-Kursi and you will be protected by Allaah, and no shaytaan (devil) will come near you until morning.’ The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘He told you the truth even though he is a liar. That was a shaytaan.’” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3101).

In addition:

It was reported that Abu Mas’ood al-Badri (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘The last two aayahs of Soorat al-Baqarah – whoever recites them at night, they will be sufficient for him.’” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3786; Muslim, 807).

I think that most dreams people have are usually related to what a person has been thinking about or going through. In my experience, if I happen to dream it is usually about mundane things related to what happened to me throughout the day. The only times I have had horrible dreams like that is when my worst fears are played out in regards to something that I have a strong emotional investment in.

no Christians or other non-Muslims telling me that my dream means I shall be Christian again
Have you been getting pressured to leave Islam?
all conversations I have with my parents who call Islam the "Devil cult"
^probably your inspiration? Maybe your worst fear or some variation of it is playing out because you feel might feel frustrated with your parents or people around you and how they feel about Islam? I hope that you can find your peace with them.

:wasalam:,

sorry sister, i dont know how to interpret dreams but dreams are either from Allah, shaitan or mind.

so ur dreams could be the working of ur mind as u might have anti-islamic pressure or frm shaitan to make u feel down or frm Allah to make you do more good deeds and come closer to Him.

so when u see bad dreams, seek refuge in Allah, dry spit on left 3 times and dont mention to anybody. inshallah, no haram will come to sister.

may Allah forgive me if i am wrong.

Salaam,

The satan in your dream is easily lying. Unlike Christianity, Islam is the "safest" choice for those who are unsure. It respects the other people of the book, and doesn't say they'll go to hell. For one, the Quran doesn't say that Christians or even Jews are totally wrong in their creed. Satan misleads and that's what he did in your dream.

Look at the beauty and love of Islam. Refer to al-Baqarah:62. (http://quran.com/2/62)

Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews or Christians or Sabeans [before Prophet Muhammad] - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - will have their reward with their Lord, and no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

And Allah is just. How can a person who prays five times a day, controls his desires, lowers his gaze, allows the practice of other religions, works for peace, pays the zakat, respect the elders, and love the young... How can someone who does that ends up in hell?

So worry not. A good thing to do is to perform the iqamah (call for prayer) in your room every time before performing your salat. That will hopefully create a barrier for you. And you got to work hard on Islam so that Allah doesn't pull away the hidayah which He has given you. Amen.

P/S: Does anyone know why new forum registration is disabled?

I'm not what you believe
salam sister,by myself you should not be worried, cause me too I had many times similar dreams, and it didn't happen anything bad.I'm not an interprer of dreams, but dreaming of something that gets destroyd,it may means that you left your wrong way and took the right one.the Shaytan is your intimal fear of the mistakes you made in your life, and if this shaytan thanks you for having led muslims to hell,it may means that it is trying to make you doubt about the right way by creating you these illusions.in general this dream could mean changement in you life....P.S.it's just a personal opinion.wa 'ilkum salam

Assalamo alaykom,

I just got to know it's not good (or forbidden) to tell the dream to others so I'm editing my first message to take away the explanation.

And as an answer, yes I have a lots of pressure to leave Islam from my family. We still have good contact alhamdolillah, but it's a lots of discussions and talks about the Devil etc.

I never watch horror movies, not even criminal movies, so it's difficult to be something I've recently seen. The only thing I can put in mind is some nature disaster I saw video on yesterday.

I know nobody of us can tell what a dream means, but it feels easier too to know if someone else had a similar dream (which I understood now someone had).

Sometimes I'm making duaa before sleeping, but not always because most often I'm so tired that I forget it. I will try to remind myself from here on instead to do it more often inshaAllah.

Barak Allah fikom.
