The Case in increased emergency!
Dammam : number of patients admitted to the emergency room , either in government hospitals or private clinics increased since Ramadan began.
Doctors and medical officials said , most of the emergency is related to wrong food intake after break fasting !
" There is an increase in cases of high blood pressure, diarrhoea, heartburn and problems associated with the digestive system , " said a doctor at the emergency department Dammam Central Hospital .
" Such health problems are common in Ramadan , but people do not control themselves but eat plenty during the break , " he said.
He said the number of people admitted to hospital are foreign residents who eat a lot of excess fat foods such as meat and dairy products .
" Hospitals and clinics often see increased emergency cases immediately after Iftar when the fast break , "said Dr. Basem Futa , diabetes specialist .
" Food that is too many carbohydrates and sugary drinks are sure to increases in blood sugar and lead to heart problems, " he said.
A nurse in the emergency department of King Khaled University Hospital in Riyadh said , most of them are included in the emergency ward of the hospital after experiencing abdominal pain fast . - Agencies
