Everything Allah sobhanahu wa taala created is created for a wisdom. Love of Allah , hope for Paradise and Fear of Hell built an inner living conscience which calls for all that is good and pure and warns aganist all kinds of evils. When man know with certainity that Hell is waiting for the killers and oppressors....he will think twice before commiting any kind of crime........love of Allah , hope for Paradise and fear of Hell if settled in a heart then they will wash that heart from all kinds of evils like hate, arrogance, pride, envy , greed,lusts.............all black spots...

Some people say how a most merciful creator make this kind of punishment : hell for his creatures ........if one think about all kinds of evils on earth then he/ she will understand the wisdom of this kind of severe punishment ........it is to stop evils ,crimes and oppression ....and to establish justice ..if people accept the message of Islam with sincerity........May Allah save us all from Hell , and gather us in Janna. I agree with you dear sister,and mashallah for your thinking. Allah is The Most Mercyfull, but He is also The Judge, The Most Just,and The One who is punishing as well, because we should never forget that Allah subhan we teala has atributes of Mercy,but of Anger too, because justice towerd someone is made of forgiving to him, but also in punishing him if he deserve it.

Allaah subahn we teala sais in Quraan: The noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the one who is the most fear of Him ( Surah Al Hujjrat, ayah 13).

Love of Allah sobhanahu wa taala , hope for Paradise and Fear of Hell can change humans attitude in this life :the more love, more hope ,more fear one have the more tendency will drive that person to do all that is good and pleases his creator the hate for evils and bad words or deeds (more rightousness): It is the wisdom of Allah sobhanahu wa taala to put a dynamic effective inner system within souls to do good and reject bad .....if this idea settle in hearts then we need less cops less jails...less problems .....Praying 5 times through a day will renew the faith and will plant more love more hope more rejection of evils....(Islam starts by the inner evils and wash them by La ellah Ella Allah if understood) ....then how would be our world if the message is adopted correctly and sincerily. I think a peace of Paradise. and Allau aalam (Allah knows best)
