I was converted last year and I have chosen my name as Noor, means light cause somebody told me it's a good name and I don't have idea what name I will choose. But as the day pass by I found myself embracing my name as Salma co's I loved this name.
And I have been using this name even in my work their all calling me by this name "Salma".
Long time I want to changed it but I'm confused maybe it will not accept in the Islamic Affairs where I sworn and they add my name as Noor.
Will I able to change it cause I feel bad for myself choosing a name and I'm not using it. In shallah. It's not too late for me to change. I want my name as Salma and I feel my personality fits this name.

Keep the name you like.....and just tell the masjid people that you have changed your name to Salma because you like the name Salma nd it suits you. It should not be a problem.

Nur is a good name
and so is Salma
You can join them too as Nur Salma
or just Salma.

About adopting the previous name during your converting to Islam and feels like you want to change now.
There's no law in Islam saying that you can't.
You can change name as what you like to be call,
as long as the name has no bad meaning.
