Strong Earthquake Jolts Northeastern Japan: Another Large Quake Strikes Same Area .

NEW YORK — The US Geological Survey is reporting that another strong earthquake has jolted northeastern Japan, the same region devastated by March’s massive quake and tsunami.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The U.S.G.S. says the magnitude 6.2-quake struck at 3:51 A.M. Monday and was centered at a depth of 22.1 miles (35.6 kilometers) in the Pacific Ocean, 59 miles (94 kilometers) east of Fukushima Prefecture.

The epicenter is 175 miles (282 kilometers) northeast of Tokyo. On Saturday, a magnitude 6.4-quake struck in the same area off the east coast of Honshu. About 23,000 people died or were left missing across wide swaths of Japan’s northeast coastline after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami. Another 80,000 have been forced to evacuate their homes because of the radiation threat from the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear plant.

Wow,so many earthquakes occurring.Japan always lies in the epicentre of earthquakes,but they are much more frequent these days,Sympathies with the victims.

As we acknowledge this
yet the Japanese still stubbornly choose to stay
at the effected area.< This is another episode of sad discovery ofcourse.
With many frequent warning i think it's best to stay far away from that area!

Yeah it's better to stay away from that area,actually almost whole of Japan lies in the belt where seismic activities are frequent.

and ofcourse not evacuating the total area
even that is not effected.
That is not necessary.
