Why don't you stop asking stupid questions and go and read the Holy Qur'an?

Br. Tomtom, please don't be unfriendly to people who have very basic doubts. If you know it well, alhamdulillah, others have right to know it as well and when they ask about it, it is the duty of muslims to clarify it in most kind manner, no matter, how many times they ask for it. If you have read the Qur'an and hadith really well, you must be knowing that patience is a big chunk of our Imaan.

Br. truthseeker63, Yes, being muslim means submission to God. That is the sole purpose why God created us - to worship him. However, Allah doesn't forbid us from fulfilling our earthly need due to his Mercy, Subhanallah. The Angels, on the other hand, have no free will like us, so they are in constant submission to God and carrying out his orders.

Forgive me for the assumption above but there was a guy in another forum called 'juststudying' who started off asking innocent questions then became insulting and degrading muslims and Islam.

If he took the Shahada and he doesn't know a muslim means submitting to Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala?

Sahih International

Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. 2:128
