I hope you are in good health and Imaan,me,alhamdulillah;i'm alright.I thank all those who suggested me some goog ways to how to be protected from evil...
my question is about the "earthquakes"...there is also a surah of Quran which talks about this natural event but distructive.
Yesterday morning in my town there was a the earthquake.I heard it in my house but it wasn't very high.my children were sleeping.I felt a terrible pain in the stomach for the fear that my house would crash to the ground. But it didn't happen.so we're saved....what about your feelings during the earthquake?we often talk about this event, but when it touches you personally, maybe the reaction is different.have you ever tested an earthquake?I wish to share with you this matter, also to make me to be calm before going to sleep, because since yesterday,I fear to get asleep and to wake up with my house destroyed and my children among the dust.:wasalam:

Assalamu Alaikum:

I had two but minor experiences of earthquakes. Some years back there was a massive earthquake in an Indian state. We felt tremors of that quake in our city also. I was just standing in the hall at my home and all of a sudden momentarily I felt as if something pushed me away from the place I was standing on. I was the only person at my home to feel such sort of giddiness. Just after a while we heard some noises from neighbors. Many buildings in vicinity to my home had window glasses cracked and cracks even appeared at walls in many homes. It was than that we come to know that tremors of a quake were felt in our city.

This calamity hit the Indian state of Gujrat on this very same day that is 26th of January.

Regards.

REALLY?!oh,even if far,I'm near to you as brother in Islam in a moment like this.I didn't noticed it on the italian channels,I don't know why in Itlay they hide what happens out of here."ya rabbi, save us from earthquake, because it's a really big calamity and we can't face it without Your help".:wasalam:

Assalaam walaikum,

I love them. What a rush. There you are and the next thing you know you are humbled. It's like riding waves..body surfing.

yes,you can love them if they happen far from your house, but I wonder how you felt if it happened near you.it destryos many homes and it damages everything.and if it hit the house of a dear one,it may be natural thinking "why there?"I fear thiis kind of event, because I feel in danger in my house and if it crashes at the ground,I'd only hope to find my dears alive.many people died under the dust of their houses after an earthquake.it's Allah Who shakes the Earth?

Assalamu alaikum.sis.

Earthquakes are quite common here, but only of low intensity.
your fan starts moving.....glasses start shaking....and then your building (if you look from outside) starts moving to and fro.......then you feel the shivers going down your back and you remember ALLAH.

Assalamu Alaikum: Sis.

Whatever is destined to happen would surely happen,so why to tame tensions, just keep praying to Allah (SWT).

I have been in two, the 1989 Quake here in California, no damage but the ground did move and some things fell off the shelf and in 2004 in Chattanooga, Tn of all places. It was around 4 am and I was dead to the world, woke up to a rolling sensation, said to myself either this is one really vivid dream or its an earthquake. I got up, walked to the door, stood there ( give it up for earthquake training even in the early morning) waited till it stopped and went back to bed. When I got up at a decent hour and headed to work, everyone was talking about it like it was the big one, I had to laugh.
