Hello I'm new here, I am a 23 year old christian from Houston, Texas. I am a ordained minister but from a young age I have had problems with some of the theology in Christianity, So I'm hopping to learn a little more about Islam through this site.

4:171 O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

Welcome to the forum. Houston has a huge Muslim population. Go take a look at the real life versions of Muslims. Also bear in mind that Muslims have been around in Texas for 300 odd years.

i am a revert and im pleased with ALLAH as my LORD not Jesus (peace be upon him), Islam as my religion and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as my Prophet.

im happy you are seeking knowledge. Its very important.

the fact that my parents are christians doesn't mean they were not fooled about their religion.

Jesus is a Mighty Messenger in Islam.

I wonder why the missionaries are not telling us that Muhammad is mentioned by name in the Greek bible, they went on to translate his name in english so that our fellow christians dont realise that Muhammad is the messenger Jesus meant.
