Brother, I dont know much about HYIP but judging from the definition on wiki:

A high-yield investment program (or programme), HYIP, is a type of Ponzi scheme, which is an investment scam that promises unsustainably high return on investment by paying previous investors with the money invested by new investors.

I am no one to say what is halal and haraam... Maybe you should ask a scholar... But the word SCAM doesnt sound good!

Sounds like many of these pyramid/network marketing schemes. I would stay well away.

The others have given good advice but just to remind you, 200% of $10 is $2000. That is definitely too good to be true and sounds like a scam.

Aslamualykum,

200% of $10 is not $2000. When we talk about investment, the return is 200% larger than the initial investment. so if for example he invests $10, the return or profit at the end of the fist month is $20 (with his investment of $10 still in the "box"). But if he takes it all out after the first month what he will have is $30.... makes sense?

As'alaamu Alaikkum

`Abdullah bin Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah () cursed the one who accepts Ar-Riba (the usury) and the one who pays it.

[Muslim].

The narration in At-Tirmidhi adds: And the one who records it, and the two persons who stand witness to it.

We aleykum selam

Since Abdullah en-Numan ibn Besir, radi anhuma, reports that he said: "I heard the Prophet, saws, says:" Halal and Haram are clear and between them are doubtful things which many people do not know. who is being kept of suspicious things will keep their faith and honor, and whoever falls into doubtful things will fall into haram (forbidden), as a shepherd who tends his flock about the ruler of the property and almost forbidden to engage him in it. Each ruler has outlawed properties. indeed, Allah prohibited His possessions are prohibitive. In the body there is indeed a piece of meat when he is healthy, the whole body is healthy, and when he falls ill, the whole body suffers, and this is the heart? "(Bukhari, 1 / 126th and Muslim, 1599)

So I think this is one of doubtful things and its better to avoid it.
Thank you brothers and sisters what you have helped me .. May Allah reward you with jannah ..

The biggest Risk is to forget asking whether its Halaal or Haraam source of income. With a fixed return, its fishy and closer to the not allowed. And yes, just like the rest pointed out the return numbers, tell me its too good to be true, stay away.
