Asalaam Alykum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh. I have been floating around here for a while and found the courage to post. I reverted to Islam 7 years ago when I married my husband but it wasnt until just recently that I really started looking into Islam and practising. I live in Cumbria in the very north of England where there is a very limited muslim community. I started wearing hijab 4 months ago and I am basically the only muslim woman in my town. I do not have much contact with other muslim women so I am looking for sisters who live near me and who can help and support me in being the best muslim I can be Insha'Allah :shymuslima1:

Dear Sister, Alhamdulillah you have found the religion of your Lord. I don't know anyone near you, but you could ask your husband to get you in touch with a Muslim sister/s.

Also, you can get absolutely free books (about 11 FREE BOOKS on Islam) from IDCI (which is the leading dawah organisation in the UK) aimed at new Muslims like yourself, Muslims, Non-Muslims, anybody:
www.idci.co.uk and then you can go to the "Free Offers" tab at the top of the page (left hand side), and all you will have to do there is to type your address in the form and they'll send you those 11 Free books straight to your doorstep. I guarantee you they will not charge anything (but forgive me sister, it's been a while since our family ordered them, they might charge only about £2-3 for delivery, that's all).

Brother Khalid, I have been on a website and requested some books, Insha'allah they will send them to me. I am currently looking for some online courses but not sure where to start. Insha'allah I will find something to increase my knowledge of our beautiful religion.
