Is leaving fard salah under pressure a forgiven?
When one is under extreme pressure, will one be forgiven for leaving salah?

Assalaamu `alaika warahmatullaah, brother.

If I remember correctly, you were having doubts about Islaam a while back, right? I hope all is well with your iman now, inshaa'Allaah.

under extreme pressure
Elaborate more on this, please.

By the way, exams and work do not include extreme pressure. The prophet :saw: and his ashaab, may Allaah be pleased with them all, would make time to pray even on the battle fields, subhaanallaah. If that isn't 'extreme pressure', then I don't know what is.

Unless you're unconscious, or you've been sedated ... other than that ... what could be extreme in our petty lives?

under extreme pressure from kafirs, who would bully/torture you, if you pray?
is one forgiven if one doesent pray under these circumstances? in this case does he become a kafir, if he doesent pray for more than 3 days, because he is in a serious aggressive kafir environment?

Assalaamu `alaika warahmatullaah, brother.
The basic principle concerning that is the verse in which Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Allaah burdens not a person beyond his scope” [al-Baqarah 2:286] and the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “Pray standing, and if you cannot then sitting, and if you cannot then on your side.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (1117) and Abu Dawood (952).

Read through this: http://islamqa.info/en/ref/100627 and this, http://islamqa.info/en/ref/165426/

I believe it covers all of your questions and concerns.

Okay, if you really did read it you would see that it says (in the first link alone),
4- If we assume that she cannot hide from her family even for a few minutes in which to pray, and she is afraid that if they find out she is Muslim she will suffer real harm, then it is permissible for her to pray whilst sitting, gesturing for the bowing and prostrating. If that is not possible then she may pray sitting and intending in her heart to bow and prostrate, whilst facing the qiblah. If she is unable to face the qiblah, then she may pray facing in any direction. If we assume that she can only pray whilst lying down, then she may do that.

Ibn Qudaamah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in al-Mughni (2/140): If a prisoner fears for his life if he prays, or if someone is hiding in a place, then they should pray however they are able to. This was stated by Ahmad with regard to the prisoner. If the one who is hiding is sitting and cannot stand, or he is lying down and cannot stand up or move, then he should pray according to his situation.

The point is that prayer is not waived for one who is accountable under any circumstances.
Indeed the fuqaha’ have stated that the prisoner or the one who is afraid that his being Muslim will be discovered should still pray.

This a whole different topic, brother. First tell me, do you understand the rulings above or do you have anymore questions?

You cannot miss sallah under any condition EVEN during the battle the prophet and sahaba prayed by combining.

yes, i understand the prayer question, but what about the suicide question?
he is not killed by kafirs, but kafirs tell him to kill himself & the force it to do it by bullying. shall it be considered suicide or murder?

I have difficultly understanding this. Would that not be murder?

I was thinking the same, was gonna get to that after the brother's reply. : )

When I think of force, I think that some really physical aspects must've been involved.
Like in the case the brother mentioned, forcing someone to commit "suicide" would be to not only hand a gun over to this person but to also assist him in pulling the trigger. That's force to me, and that's obviously "murder", not suicide as it wasn't done by the person but rather the murderer who put his hand over his, (i.e., pressed down on top of his finger) in order to make him pull the trigger.

But this "suicide" could also been seen in a different light I think. A person, especially one who has knowledge of Allaah and what He has made Halaal and Haraam for us, could never be persuaded to kill himself. If he's simply given a gun and told to shoot himself (without getting any assistance), he would not shoot himself out of fear of being tortured more by the prison guards or whomever - he knows he has Allaah by his side and that whatever was meant to befall him will not miss him and that no matter how severe he's being tortured, the punishment in the hereafter is much worse. So if he decided to end his life because of this, then really, it's not out of force but rather out of wanting that "relief" (I don't know how death can be seen as relief when you don't even have the slightest idea of where you'll end up on Yawm al-qiyaamah, but...) and that's definitely "suicide" by will and not force.

Does this make sense?

Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly:
Suicide is a major sin, and the one who does that is faced with a warning of eternity in the Fire of Hell, where Allaah will punish him with the means that he used to commit suicide. It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever throws himself down from a mountain and kills himself will be throwing himself down in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever. Whoever drinks poison and kills himself will be sipping it in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever. Whoever kills himself with a piece of iron will have that iron in his hand, thrusting it into his belly in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5442) and Muslim (109),
It was narrated from Thaabit ibn Dahhaak (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever kills himself with something will be punished with it on the Day of Resurrection.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5700) and Muslim (110).
It was narrated that Jundub ibn ‘Abd-Allaah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said: “A man among those who came before you was wounded. He panicked and took a knife and cut his hand, and the bleeding did not stop until he died. Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, said: ‘My slave hastened his death; I have forbidden Paradise to him.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (3276) and Muslim (113).
The believer has to be patient and to seek the help of Allaah, may He be exalted, and understand that no matter what hardship befalls him in this world -- no matter how severe it is -- the punishment of the Hereafter is worse than it. It is not acceptable according to anyone who is of right mind to run away from the heat of the desert and throw himself into the fire. How can he flee from temporary hardship and difficulty -- which inevitably will come to an end -- to an eternal punishment which has no end?
The Muslim should ponder and realise that he is not the only one in this world who is affected by calamity and hardship. Calamities befell the greatest of mankind, namely the Prophets, Messengers and the righteous. They also befell the worst of mankind, namely the disbelievers and atheists.
Calamity is part of the natural order of things and hardly anyone is safe from it.
If the believer handles it well and is patient, and it becomes a means that makes him turn back to Allaah and strive hard in worship and righteous deeds, then the calamity will have been good for him and will be expiation for his sins, and perhaps he will meet Allaah with no burden of sin.
The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said: “No pain, hardship, sickness or grief befalls a believer, not even worry that befalls him, but some of his bad deeds will be expiated.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5642) and Muslim (2573).
Al-Tirmidhi (2399) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said: “Calamities will continue to befall believing men and women in themselves, their children and their wealth, until they meet Allaah with no burden of sin.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Silsilat al-Ahaadeeth al-Saheehah (2280).
And Allaah knows best.
