Christians and Jews will receive their reward twice

Yes you heard me right. All Jews and Christians who accepts Islam and utter "Ashadu anla Ilaha Illallah wa Ashadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasooluhu" will get a double reward from Allah Subhana Wa Taala.

Abu Burdah bin Abi Musa narrated from his father that the Messenger of Allah said:
"Three will receive their reward twice: A slave who fulfills the rights of Allah and the rights of his owners, then he will be given his reward twice. And a man who has a beautiful slave girl, so he teaches her good manners, then he frees her, then he married her seeking the Face of Allah by that; then he will be given his reward twice. And a man who believed in an earlier Book, then another Book came to him and he believed in it; then he will be given his reward twice."

I do not want, expect or ask for rewards for worshipping God. So this bribe counts for nothing :)

My rewards from God are the everyday blessings bestowed on me, in the love of my family and friends, my health, the roof over my head and the food on my table.

Rewards.. Indeedy.

This life is only a test and a first step into what Allah swt really has planned for us.
Of course the ultimate reward, Jannah, heaven, for the pious is our dream. Is it not yours also? Do you not want everlasting eternal happiness alongside Allah swt?

Yes sure, I wish to exist eternally sharing in Gods love. I just do not believe my good deeds will help me achieve that. I do not want "rewards" in this world or the next. My life and the blessings I have received is reward enough. :)

Peace.

I agree here, often I am thinking about this and I had some discussions on this theme.
Rewards are good, ofcourse, but I dont see the rewards to be the first and most important motivation in doing good and having much faith in Allah. I can`t say 100 times Alhamdulillah thinking about the tree build for me in Jannah (if this is the reward, I am not sure), I say 100 times Alhamdulillah (Praise to God) because I really think, or need to think that all praise is for Allah, which is what ''Alhamdulillah'' means.
We all dream of Paradise and there are rules and promises to help of get there, but to make our intentions ''pure'' is more than this. I dont say is not a good and honorable motivation, it is, but not the top, nr.1., one.
And Allah knows best.

Hajjerr, you are a very lovely person inside and out I think. May God bless you. :)

God bestows his rewards and blessings on us every day, but we do not always see them, believing them to be naught but our right. I try my best to live my life to honour our God, if he sees fit to grant me salvation for my sins that is reward enough.

Peace and blessings to you.
