I do not feel comfortable with the current situation in the UK about the niqaab. The government are suggesting that we should not be able to wear it in hospitals, banks etc. This is not acceptable for me as I cover in front of non mahrams, who can I get support from regarding this matter? I am doing dua to Allah swt to protect Islam and the womens hijab, niqaab etc. can I discuss this with any islamic establishment.

The government is being foolish and speaking about things it does not know anything about. They say they want stop hospital staff from wearing the niqab. It is a strange notion when there has been no case of any female doctor wearing a niqab in hospitals. Neither have there been complaints from patients. Most niqabi women understand that at times they need to show their faces due to security issues, this even happens in the most conservative Muslim countries, i.e. Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries.

In sha Allah there will not be any type of ban on the niqab. If there is, I think the government will face a lot of criticism, not just from the Muslims, but even non-Muslims. It is a hotly debated issue because it is all about the rights and freedoms of individuals.

May Allah make things easier and better for the Muslims, Allahumma Amin.
