US Global Rule, Is it Democratic?

"Advocates of democracy should see something wrong with the idea of a nation fewer than 300 million people dominating a planet with more than six billion inhabitants.

That’s less than 5 per cent of the population ruling over the remainder – more than 95 per cent – without their consent." (Source: P Singer 2004: 191, The President of Good and Evil)

The Empire does not need consent of the masses. It strikes when it feels like. It dominates and destroys to please itself.

Do not be fooled into thinking that the Empire is good to its citizens. There is a lot of dissent in the belly of the beast. America is starving its population. The police gun down children everyday. Trust me when you oppose the Empire within its boarders there are severe consequences.
The Empire hides behind fortified gates.... this is not a game to put on the internet. We have lives of people on the stake.

The Muslims are foolish. They have given up the Laws of Allah, swt. There are many that reap the benefits of being stooges to the Empire. ( Like the entire ME ).

The Muslims love to be dominated. I know if I were the Emperor I would be smoking a Cuban cigar and drinking cognac as I watch the Muslims kill each other over nothing. All I would be doing is just that. The video games of helping one side kill another and call them rebels, human beings being splattered all over the place by so called Muslims.

Why blame the Empire. It is honest. It tells you I do not care. I am about it. I am going to seek and destroy. I will rule. The Empire did strike back. The spices of the exotic world are good to have.

If you really want to get sick...think of what the Empire did to Latin America...not gross enough...what it does to its own population..

the glitz and glitter of the duyna.

I appreciate your links and topics.

Just how is US global rule in any way connected to democracy? Britain did nearly the same thing with its monarchy.

One has to give credit where credit is due. The US was blessed with thinking men when they wrote the Constitution. These men were educated. They well versed in the Quran. They wanted nothing to do with constitutional monarchy.

The picture is larger. Here I go again being a conspiracy theorist. Good stuff...you need to read the Protocol of the Elders. It is how to rule the world for dummies. It is spelled out for you. They tell you and map it out.

Bottom line is this...call it whatever you want if it is not what Allah swt has prescribed to us as His law...it is useless. Don't blame the non-believers, the disbelievers and the hypocrites they are honest in one thing. It is their interests that motivate them.

We have to do our part and keep our covenant with Allah, swt. We are not looking so good on every level. We are not merciful and compassionate. To keep killing other Muslims for the love of whatever and still claim to be fearful of Allah, swt, takes a lot of gall.

The only finger-pointing we can do is upon ourselves. Our behaviors encourage others to oppress us. We are so easily oppressed.

We know what is wrong with the government of the US. We need to know what is wrong with us.

Assalammu Alaikum and Jazakallah Khayrun Brother Mehmet for your reply.

When I started my first degree in International Politics and Philosophy in the 1990s, I also believed democracy was restricted to an electorate in one nation alone.

This is the first and most simple forms of democracy, but not the most well known and unfortunately among the few the US gives international 'paper credibility' to. By this I mean theoretically the USA approves and champions its cause, but in reality uses it as a smokescreen for its own purposes, reputation, credibility and image.

P Singer, the source of the quotation also meant that these same nations who espouse, export and sell democracy to other nations should practice it as an ideology.

This they can do by refusing to accept American hegemony of the world and especially themselves at the UN, international treaty obligations, trade tariffs, embargoes, international conferences and binding agreements of which the US is a regular violator.

At the UN for example, the US is among five nations known as the five permanent members (the others being UK, France, Russia and China) whose vote and veto stands alone to defeat resolutions where over two hundred nations often oppose them, but it is carried nonetheless in the favour of the former.

Just like Muslims. You justify wrong .

Studying it is not living it.....

No matter what you study the truth is the Empire is alive and well...it uses Muslims to gain more power....

It is a joke....the UN is a joke...

No one is going to refuse what America says....

The Empire has great workers...they are called Muslim stooges who will do anything to imitate the white man but they don't teach that in school it is called life.

The bases of democracy is rooted in Hinduism. On an Islamic website you talk about governmental systems when you don't even know your own laws nor follow them.

Need to open thread on what scholars say about studying philosophy.

I'm no expert in politics and theology. However, if we trace back the origins of civilization and how it shaped societies from time to time.
We can find out a pattern of command and control of resources, population and knowledge and lack of knowledge. And nature plays very important role in shaping our thinking. People living near water rich geographic location will have different political view than those live extreme weather conditions.

So, what i'm trying emphasise is. Democracy is not "one solution fixes all problems" and neither dictatorship because of the history, culture and faith of people in different geographies.

Since the end of world war, US acted almost unilaterally in many of the conflicts across the globe. Mostly due to change in politics of 21st century, as business and politics has become so inseparable. This is coupled with access to and control of earth's resources by businesses.

Brother,

I am in total agreement with you.

However, I am at an age wherein I realize that the only viable option for a fair society in which the needs of the commonweal is through the total and absolute implementation of Sharia. Furthermore, before we can address the evils of many socio/political/economic systems we need to address the needs of education of Muslims.

As Islam is vast and complete we do not take the time to understand that Allah, swt, has given us the solution. Men/Women of lust and greed corrupt power for personal gain.

We have no means of listening to words of wisdom from our elders. We have no connective stem to discuss our global issues. Yet, fundamentally, Islam tells us to take care of our communities first and foremost. Baby steps. We do not use consul.

Yes, we do need to understand the reasons why democratic systems will never work in light of Sharia. We need understanding of why politics without blessings are void of intellect. The compare/contrast sheets from middle school would be needed.

What Islam offers the simple individual is the power of expression directly. We do not utilize this.

My perceived anger at the Muslim world is one of frustrations. It sickens me that nations who proclaim to be Muslim majority forget they are representing the interests of Muslims.

I will stop.

please keep educating the readers brother.

Brother Tiaziz, I agree, since transnational corporate and commercial interests have increased, international agencies associated with relief, welfare and developmental assistance are now often associated with following 'free market, neoliberal and private enterprise'.

In short, this is loosely translated as monopolisation of indigenous industries by handpicked western firms, 'rolling back the state' at the expense of the state and for the benefit of small elites, both among natives and western conglomerates.

In relation to the US (and to a lesser extent the UK) and especially since the end of the Second World War, 'commercial enterprise' or to use the favoured term, 'free market' generates a healthy source of permanent income from those who have a significant proportion of purchasing power equivalent to some successful American or western multinational companies- governments.

This can be in the form of the defence industry where huge weapons sales are made to countries that are known to have insurrections and insurgent groups or the health industry where pharmaceutical companies will sell banned medicine in Europe with terrible side effects.

They don't have to be rich, just either gullible, selfish, irresponsible, dictatorial or even with no option in the matter but accept for survival alone. It is also often a combination of some of the above.

In the absence of accountability, enforceable indictable offences associated with corporatism and multinational global violations of human rights, there is little to facilitate prevention or reduce the negative forms of 'globalisation', which is another concept to sell western interests or to create credible alternatives that will work.

Historically speaking, Guyana in the 1950s, Iran in 1951-53, Guatemala in 1954, Cuba until 1959, The Congo in 1960, Ghana in 1966, Chile in 1973, El Salvador in the 1980s, Grenada in 1983 among several others are examples of American removal of legitimate governments for the benefit of western corporate interests.

In sum this represents the undemocratic interests of a non indigenous elite of wealthy foreign businesspeople taking precedence of the local majorities resulting in greater poverty, but the accumulation of huge capital for the offending parties. As you can see, it is a great avenue for making money and the ability to remove oneself from blame or criminal charges.
