Bolivia declares Israel a 'terrorist state'
Bolivian President Evo Morales declared Israel a "terrorist state," Wednesday, because of the ongoing offensive in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli citizens will now be required to obtain a visa before traveling to Bolivia. Previously, under a 1972 agreement, which Morales denounced for being "signed under a dictatorial regime," Israelis could travel freely into Bolivia without having to obtain a visa, according to La Razón.
Israel is now considered a "group 3" country, meaning visa applications must be reviewed by the National Migration Administration.
"In other words we are declaring (Israel) a terrorist state," Página Siete reported Morales as saying.
"Israel does not respect the principles or purposes of the United Nations charter nor the Universal Declaration of Human Rights," Morales said, according to Página Siete.
Morales, an admirer of the late Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez's Bolivarian socialism, broke off diplomatic relations with the Jewish state in 2009, and has renounced Israel's treatment of Palestinians "a genocide."
South America is a popular destination for young Israelis.
Other South American countries, including Brazil, Chile, Ecuador and Peru, have recalled their ambassadors from Israel in protest over the fighting in Gaza.

Students of Israeli History know the Jewish State has been actively involved in wars that has entangled the following countries-
Nicaragua
El Salvador
Guatemala
South Africa
In the first three cases, Israel was a supplier of arms to the US-supported governments against left wing, communist, peasant, nationalist, egalitarian rebels and civilians in the 1980s. In each case, the side Israel supported arrested tens of thousands of civilians without cause or charge, imprisoned for years without access to lawyers or their families, tortured and slaughtered thousands more and are guilty of genocide against their own people over a course of at least a decade.
In respect to South Africa, it is a little more complex. Israel was for its first nineteen years of existence, a highly vocal opponent of Apartheid South Africa (but diplomatically a trade partner). One reason for the ambiguity in all this was due to the significant and powerful Jewish population in the black majority, but white minority State.
This changed however after the 1967 Six Day War, when most countries Developing World nations who had supported and sympathised with Israel as an underdog and victim now viewed the Jewish State as an imperial power of occupation and arrogance. Around the same time, South Africa was being similarly branded a racist country and various agreements were being signed making the white minority government a pariah state with few friends and no real influence in the world. The two countries now sought out the other and until 1994 with the collapse of apartheid, became very close.
Another adjustment was a shift in American perceptions of the Jewish State following the election of an underdog President in 1960; John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the first Catholic to ascend to the White House ever and the first American with Irish roots to his name. Israeli-American relations have since been very close and look set to remain that way.
South Africa benefited from Israeli military expertise in its wars in 'South West Africa' (an area then under South African rule and now the independent country of Namibia), Angola and Mozambique where fighting was against heavily armed, trained and highly advanced forces from Cuba supporting the Communist governments there. While South Africa was equipped with modern ground forces and land based weaponry, it was however hampered with outdated aircraft, no aerial surveillance systems and virtually no defence against foreign air forces and with sanctions, it couldn't obtain them either, but Israel could purchase them from the US and then transport them to South Africa.
