Hi Gladys,

I can answer two of your questions but please forgive I haven't enough time to answer the second

1) Religion isn't separate from a Muslims life, it IS their life, every single part of my being on this earth is affected by Islam, so it's merged into Islam simply being my life, not two seperate things

3) The Qur'an has never changed and neither have the rules in it...it has been the unchanged word of Allah from the first to the final revelation.

hello gladys,

islam is more than a religion to muslims, it is a way of life. our thoughts, our words, our deeds, our choices are all based on islam. it really isn't a religion of one day only. it's a 24/7 lifestyle.

9/11? hmmm... muslims don't need to apologize, there have been many muslims apologizing for 9/11. yes it was horrible, but i had nothing to do with it. out of 1.6 billion muslims in the world, only 19 people were involved. quite honestly, their conduct wasn't even islamic. it did however, give muslims the opportunity to set the facts straight in regards to islam and terrorism. yes, many muslims have been harrassed, discriminated against, attacked, that is the downside of 9/11 for muslims, but at the same time it has been a blessing to the ummah ( islamic brotherhood ) because non-muslims have taken out the time to study true islam and have embraced islam.

alhamdullah, the quran has never been changed. if you were to take all of the qurans in the world and destroy them. they can be easily be reproduced. why? because there are approximately 11 million muslims around the world that have completey memorized the quran in it's entirety. word for word, punctuation and all. it is the only religious text that can make this claim.

Alhamdulilah that this is so...

just to clarify Gladys...Males who memorize the qur'an in the arabic script are given the title "Hafiz"...Females who do this are givib the title are "Hafiza"...Males who memorize the Qur'an in arabic and then understant the meaning-translate it to another language i.e. english are called "Alim" and the females who do so are called "Alima"

May Allah guide you Gladys. Amin.

thank you for yo help and my reserch paper is coming along great. this is what i used from the information i recieved from you. For my first question which is, how is religion important in their day-to-day lives? To answer this question I interviewed a man who went by the name ayman1. He said “I once participated in a poll conducted by a church about the role of religion in people's lives. The poll gave several choices: Very important, important, somewhat important, not very important and unimportant. I immediately thought to myself: How can there be more than two choices?! Religion is either the most important thing in life or it is a complete hoax! Religion is not a drug we use to feel better, or an application to God to gain something, or a virtual reality of wishful thinking! Islam makes that clear. Islam is the way Muslims define everything in life because God told them to and the prophet, peace be upon him, taught so and lived.” What he is saying is, Religion isn't separate from a Muslims life, it IS their life, and every single part of their being on this earth is affected by Islam, so it's merged into Islam simply being their life, not two separate things. THANX FOR ALL YOUR HELP
