For Dua'....there's a lot dua Allah taught us in the Quran...i want you to open the verse yourself ok.

Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith
[2:286]

Our Lord! Bestow on us endurance, make our foothold sure, and give us help against the disbelieving folk
[2:250]

Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire
[2:201]

Our Lord! Bestow on us Mercy from Thyself, and dispose of our affair for us in the right way!
[18:10]

O my Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous
[25:74]

Our Lord! Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour (or sense of injury) against those who have believed.
[59:10]

O our Lord! Cover (us) with Thy Forgiveness - me, my parents, and (all) Believers, on the Day that the Reckoning will be established!
[14:41]

Our Lord! Pour out on us patience and constancy, and take our souls unto thee as Muslims (who bow to thy will)!
[7:126]

Our Lord! (they say), Let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure
[3:8]

الحمدلله على كل حال
Assalamu'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh,

I hope you and your family are well inshaa Allaah. Mashaa Allaah upon the conversion and welcome to the family!

As you are a new convert, my advice is you should start with learning the basics such as how to pray, what constitutes and breaks a fast and how to cover your awrah (modesty). Those are the few basics you can start with.

In the meantime, try to find a Muslim sister near you who you trust of her Islamic knowledge who will teach you matters of Islaam and keep you company. Or else, if you live near the mosque, engage yourself in the congregational prayers as you will build relationships with the Muslims sisters, inshaa Allaah. But do keep in mind to take everything ONE step at a time. It is understandable for reverts to feel excited and wants to learn everything at once but whats better is to learn a little but take actions immediately. During the time of the Prophet Muhammad :saw2:, whenever an ayaat of the Quran was revealed to him :saw2:, he took actions immediately. That is the wisdom why ayaat of the Quran was revealed one by one instead of everything at once.

Also, try to find a teacher [or a Muslim sister as I've mentioned] who can teach you the Quran; starting with the huroof then the tajweed. To be able to recite the Quran beautifully and eloquently require lots of practice and takes time. But know that even those who stumble upon reading the Quran, providing that that person keep on learning will also be rewarded by Allaah. Mashaa Allaah, indeed Allaah is The Most Generous to His creations.

The utmost important. . . build a close relationship with The Creator. Even if you can't pray properly yet, can't read the Quran nor understand much of the Arabic words; He subhanahu wa Ta'ala listens to every of your prayers and understands you. Make constant dua'a to Allaah as ALL strengths come from Him and that may we be able to die in a state of a believer. We pray everyday, in every of our prayers to achieve the glad tidings [husnul khaatimah] during the ends of our life.

Qiyaam al-lail [the night prayers during late hours] is one of the best therapy for a believer. No matter what calamities come in your way, what waves hit you on your face, you'll be able to face it as you look for strengths from your Qiyaam al-lail and your strong relationship with the Creator. During the time of Prophet Muhammad :saw2: and Salahuddin al-Ayubi [who managed to "win back" Palestine from the Christians], the types of men who'll be chose to join the army are those who observed Qiyaam al-lail. Mashaa Allaah.

As for the types of dua'a that one can supplicate daily, try browsing around these threads:
http://www.turntoislam.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51847

For more important Islamic articles that can boost your imaan, inshaa Allaah:
http://www.turntoislam.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=69

Know that when you work hard and give your best efforts to only please The Creator and not the creations, He subhanahu wa Ta'ala will love you more and more until you'll feel this bliss peace and happiness within your heart. During that time, that one precious feeling is NOTHING compared to the world and its luxuries, Mashaa Allaah :)

These are just SOME of the vast of goodness, charity and Ibaadah that one can observes in their daily life. And once when you're able to read the Quran a little, do not leave a day without reading and pondering upon it as Quran is a source of strengths too!

Take care and I wish you well in your journey, Ameen.

Was-salaam.

Welcome to Islam, sister.MashaAllah our brothers and sisters have given you good advises, follow them inshaAllah.
Try to go slow. Many a times new reverts and many people who have zeal start doing a lot of times at a time and end up being overwhelmed. My advice is to go slow as learning is a gradual process.Apply what you learnt and as a brother said earlier, start off by learning about haram(prohibited) and halal(allowed).Avoid haram, that is our duty.
MashaAllah our brothers and sisters have provided you with beautiful invocations to be read,I would like to add to the gift and present you with a book called Hisnul Muslim or "Fortress of a muslim".It contains invocations from the Qur'an & Sunnah. Translation of Hisnul-Muslim. (aka 'Citadel of the Believer') This is a very beautiful booklet consisting of many authentic Dua's (supplications) for a Muslim to supplicate on a daily basis and on special occasions.

May Allah help you and guide you and make it easy for you.Ameen.
