    Salam alaikum dear, how r u doing ? Was just going to thank u for the beautiful mail, mashaAllah sent it to so many so u'll get the reward isA. As for ur question, yes they are used differently. We say he's a special friend , a special occasion , etc so here it's an adjective (Seffah) describing a noun ( Esm). But u ma y say " I love all fruits, especially bananas" اى و بصفة خاصة
