Sorry, didn't mean that; I used pre-procedured to make things of chocolate. I should have a home-factory if I did from the beans themselves :P I do know how it's made: Ingredienst of edible chocolate: cacaomass (=crushed cacaobeans), sugar, extra cacaobutter and if you like, milkpowder for...

    White Muslims

I'm a revert who didn't wear her hijab at first because of troubles at home. About not being taken seriously, I have never encountered that kind of attitude towards me, even without hijab, so I don't agree with that comment. The attitude towards me when I was without hijab was one of admiration...

    Smoking

Sounds like she needs an intervention... I think you should tell her parents. If she doesn't want to or cannot stop on her own or with your encouragement, maybe she'll listen when her own family tries to reason with her... Like stated above, it's illegal, both in shari'a and common law. Here...

    Calling all reverts/converts to Islam

You're right :) For the ones who don't know the trademark argument: [S]ince I am a thinking thing, and have in me an idea of God, whatever finally the cause may be to which my nature is attributed, it must necessarily be admitted that the cause must equally be a thinking thing, and possess...

    ARE WE RESPONSIBLE?

No I don't think so. Not if there were no signs beforehand. Not going in on the America situation here, I mean over all. Representative government does represent the will of the people, but in the end they're just men who can lie and cheat just as good as anyone. How often are electionary...

    Calling all reverts/converts to Islam

I thought there was 'something'... very vague... I had no real concept of it. I always felt there was something like a higher power. Therefore always very interested in religion, like I said. I was searching what that 'higher power' was that I felt was there. I found it in Islam eventually :)...

Why do Muslim men emphasize the hijab?

@ Shaheerpak; thanks for the list! :) Here too, I've seen at the beach women in full hijab while the men (their brothers, father, husband) wear speedo's into the sea  One guy even said that men don't have to abide by the rule of covering up, that it's only for women :( We are...

question about hijab from not-so-long revert

Thanks for the film, I had already seen it, it is very good :) but unfortunately no help with my mother... and that's the problem. She doesn't believe in God, any God, period. Only in people. So, Bible-arguments don't help, safety-arguments don't either... I already dress modestly in general...
