طالبان تعلن عن إسلام جندي أمريكي وتدربه للمجاهدين
المختصر / ذكرت صحيفة "صنداي تايمز" البريطانية أن جنديًا أمريكيًا أسيرًا لدى حركة "طالبان" منذ يونيو 2009 انضم إلى مقاتلي الحركة بعد أن أعلن إسلامه، ويعمل على تدريبهم على إعداد الكمائن لقوات الاحتلال.
ونقلت الصحيفة عن أحد قادة "طالبان"، إن الجندي الأمريكي بوي روبرت بيرجدال، البالغ من العمر 24 عامًا انضم إلى صفوف "طالبان" ويقوم بتدريب عناصر الحركة على صنع القنابل ونصب الكمائن للقوات الدولية.

وبيرجدال هو أول جندي أمريكي تأسره "طالبان" منذ دخول القوات الأمريكية إلى أفغانستان في أواخر 2001. وفي أبريل الماضي ظهر الجندي في شريط فيديو نحيلاً لكن بصحة جيدة ويرتدي البزة العسكرية، وقد أطلق لحيته، وطلب من السلطات في بلاده التدخل لإطلاق سراحه.
وقال القيادي بـ "طالبان" ويطلق على نفسه اسم حاجي نديم، إن العريف بيرجدال تم أسره بعد أن قام بجولة خارج قاعدته العسكرية بصحبة جندي أفغاني داخل إحدى القرى القريبة ونصب له مسلحون من "طالبان" كمينًا وقتلوا الجندي الأفغاني ثم اقتادوا الجندي الأمريكي إلى مكان مجهول.
وأكد نديم أن "بيرجدال أشهر إسلامه وأطلق على نفسه اسم عبد الله، وهو يعيش بأمان الآن بين صفوف طالبان ويقوم بتدريب عناصرها".

وكان المتحدث باسم "طالبان" ذبيح الله مجاهد قال في وقت سابق إن الحركة تطالب بإطلاق عدد من السجناء مقابل الإفراج عن بيرجدال.
فيما أطلق الجندي رسالة استغاثة لبلاده من أجل الإفراج عنه، وأضاف في شريط الفيديو الذي بث في أبريل: "أرجوكم دعوني ارحل، أطلقوا سراحي، وهذه الحرب لا توازي الأرواح التي تزهق من كل من أفغانستان والولايات المتحدة".
