“This is Muhammad” Book Enters Guinness Records The Largest, the Heaviest, the Most Expensive Book in the World ‘One Million Signatures Campaign’ was launched where people can take pictures, sign on the book and purchase mini versions. Weighting 1,000 Kg, five meters in height and four meters in width, “This is Muhammad” book was released during a big launch ceremony in Dubai, The 420-page book which covers Prophet Muhammad’s life enters the Guinness World Records as the largest, the heaviest, and the most expensive book (as it costs up to Dh11 million) in the world. Written by Dr Abdullah Abdulaziz Al Muslih, Saudi author and Secretary General of the Complex for Islamic Fiqh Research in Riyadh, the intention behind the book is to tell the world about Prophet Muhammad in a simple style of writing, in order to polish misconceptions, disseminate public awareness about Islam and Muslims, and bridging gaps. “It took 16 months to pen and print out around one million copies in four languages, including brail and is to be printed into Italian and Danish,” Dr Mohammed Saeed Al Awlaki, Chairman of the board of Mshahed Investment Group, the man behind this mind boggling record, said as reported by Khaleejtimes.com. During the ceremony night which was attended by a large number of public figures, officials, and businessmen, ‘One Million Signatures Campaign’ was launched where people can take pictures, sign on the book and purchase mini versions. It is planned to arrange book signing travels for “This is Muhammad” as it will tour the world cities for displaying and collecting signatures.
