7 gun salute declared Ramadan

The announcement of the beginning of Ramadan is usually declared by the sound of seven gun salute at the peak of Mount Al - Medf'a in Makkah . For Sergeant Mastour Al - Nahari , the task has been a usual practise since 10 years ago . He was assigned to artillery fire seven shots each year when Ramadan .
Usually Mastour will bring guns to the summit of Mount Al - Medf'a two days before the arrival of Ramadan . According to him , as the Supreme Judicial Council announced the new moon , he is ready to fill seven capsule shell into the gun . Each bullet contains 1.5 kilograms of explosive powder .
Mastour said , firing guns will be heard across the country when the sun sets, and when Dawn . During Ramadan , two gun salute will be sounded at 2 am marks the hours of the morning and two more shots were bombarded signal the end time of the morning. - Agencies
