Do you know the 13 sciences of `Arabic and it's uses? Can you communicate in `Arabic as good as in, say your english?

Thanks, will you please list those which you personally believe are really the" sciences of Arabic" as some people call and use this term. May be you google and find even more sciences of Arabic.

Learning Communicating in Arabic is a different method of learning. By this method one might get the ability of fluent speaking but might not be able to transcribe or read the written text of the same language. This fact can be verified by listening to the lectures of Madina University on Advance Grammar.

And if I've understood this post of yours correctly [forgive me if I'm wrong] then you only know enough `Arabic to understand the basic grammer of Qur'an and are not learned in the language itself? You don't know, say, the roots of the words for example or to be more precise, their meaning and forms or how they were back in the Prophets' time or their use now. Correct?

Sister, if you kindly give it a second read, you might notice an inherent contradiction therein. You adjudge that I only know enough Arabic to understand the basic grammar of Qur'aan but I don't know the Roots or their meanings. Do you think one can know the Grammar of Arabic of Qur'aan without knowing Roots of Arabic?

How I study to learn the Roots, please see

If you know the sciences of Arabic, I will appreciate if you could find time to improve and modify it to become exactly in line with those sciences. Thanks.

Thanks, will you please list those which you personally believe are really the" sciences of Arabic" as some people call and use this term. May be you google and find even more sciences of Arabic.

I "personally" believe in very few things and I keep them very "personal", I prefer not to share them or push down anyones throat. This, that I'm talking about is nothing related to my "personal beliefs". And to be real honest akh, I don't trust google one bit with my deen and it's related matters. Google might as well come up with a number between 0.1 to 1000000. I couldn't care less.

The 13 sciences of hadeeth I'm talking about are those that one has to learn to become a student of knowledge. They are:

1) The first is الصَّرْف i.e Morphology

2) Next is النَّحْو or grammer, and the main subject of nahw is الإعْراب

3) Next is الرَّسْم أو الإمْلاء i.e the skill of penmanship and dictation

4) Next is المَعاني the science of meaning

5) Next is البَيلن or commonly known as Ilmul-Bayaan or the art of uttering speech

6) Next is البَديع or the art of beautification of speech

7) Metrics or Prosody العَروض

8) Rhyme القَوافي

9) Writing Poetry قَرْضُ الشِّعْر

10) Composition الإنْشاء

11) Public Speech and Oration الخَطابَة

12) Literary History تاريخُ اللأَدَب

13) Core of the Arabic Language مَتْن اللُّغَة (deals with words, foundations, dictionaries, and lexicons)
(Note: ٍSome scholars group البَديع و البَيان و المَعاني under the Science of Arabic Rhetoric عِلْمُ الْبَلاغَة )

so a student who has acquired these aspects of Arabic will go that much farther in his studies and will always be of a higher caliber than those who have not reached to gain these subjects in their understanding of Arabic language.

Well yes, you may know the meaning of the word Haya' but you may not know the root of this word i.e which word is it derived from. My recent research on this word tells me it is derived from the word Hayat i.e life. Now life and haya are two words with very different meanings but the same root. Yes, I believe you can know the Grammer without knowing the roots of the nouns. I mean I know some grammer but I don't know the roots of more 99% of the words of the Qur`an whose meaning I may know. I hope you are not confused with all this stuff.

My brother, your efforts are appreciated. May Allaah reward you for struggling to understand the word of Allaah, but is it enough knowledge for you to do what you are doing? I'm afraid no. You need to study for another 15-50 years for that. May Allaah grant you strength and istiqama to do that.

If you know the sciences of Arabic, I will appreciate if you could find time to improve and modify it to become exactly in line with those sciences. Thanks.
I don't. That's why I asked if you do. I could have done with getting a couple of answers for myself had you known them.

Your post up there could have been a very intelligent question, had you shown a lil more humility and given the benefit of doubt to these scholars. Had it ever occured to you that there may be something more to it than the apparant, something that you didn't knew, you would have asked about it rather than make up your own mind.

Brother, slandering someone who has spend his entire life immersed in learning and spreading the deen of Allaah, who has gotten no benefit out of it in duniya, has faced difficulties and is dead i.e his case is closed and may very well be amongst those are befriended by Allaah, will harm no one but you, if you are wrong. It's about time you think twice before being so careless. It might as well be counted as arrogance coupled with ignorance on your part. Two things, I'm sure as a muslim you don't want to have.

Showing a lil respect won't hurt anyone. Go ahead and ask the scholars why they translated such and such when it should be such and such grammatically. There is no shame in doing so. There is every bit of a chance that you may get an answer you never expected, which satisfactorily may explain their position. And even if they are wrong, it goes to show they are humans. Quite capable of making mistakes like you and me. That doesn't mean them and their work need to be belittled. I encourage you to post your question here. Let's see if we are missing something...

In the meantime, I think you should read this just to get a slight idea of what you need to know to be able to derive your own rulings and be independant of scholars [you seem to hate so much].

Thanks for reply. Things are now clear to me, I had wrongly thought from the Flag that you are an Arab.

"Well yes, you may know the meaning of the word Haya' but you may not know the root of this word i.e which word is it derived from. My recent research on this word tells me it is derived from the word Hayat i.e life."
