If someone knows and explain me , i want to ask a question what makes me think for a long time.
Yesterday i was looking at the Holly Koran. In english version and Russian version.
I was ssuprised that. In surah Baqarah, ayat 256. (2:256) ...
In english qoran (2:256) was in russian Qoran (2:255)
Shouldnt have been the same?

Maybe one version puts the 'aya number at the beginning and one at the end?

Or maybe one made a mistake in printing? I have seen that done before for me, with whole pages out of order.

i am intending to convert/revert soon and find it quite confusing on which website etc i should go to to gain a copy of the koran in english. Are there some more reliable than others? I am worried i may get the wrong info too. can anyone help me please.
