A checklist- am I really what I claim !?!?!
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Dear All

A story with a nice checklist which reminds us how true are we to our claims. May ALLAH help us to achieve the highest level of Iman as we claim.

It is reported that Ibrâhîm b. Adham (d162H) – Allâh have mercy on him – once passed through the market of Basrah. People gathered around him and asked: O Abû Ishâq, Allâh the Exalted says in his Book. ‘Call on me, I will answer your prayers’, but we have been calling on Him for a long time and He does not answer our prayers. [Ibrâhîm] replied, “O people of Basrah, your hearts have died in respect to ten things:

•First, you know Allâh but you do not give Him His rights;

•Second, you have read Allâh’s Book but you do not act by it;

•Third, you claim to love Allâh’s Messenger – Allâh’s peace and blessings be upon him – yet you abandon his Sunnah;

•Fourth, you claim to be enemies to Shaytân but you conform to [his ways];

•Fifth, you say you love Paradise yet you do not work for it;

•Sixth, you say you fear The Fire yet you put yourselves closer to it [by sinning];

•Seventh, you say death is true but you do not prepare for it;

•Eighth, you busy yourselves with the faults of others and disregard your own;

•Ninth, you consume the favors of your Lord but are not grateful for them; and

•Tenth, you bury your dead but take no lesson from them.”

Abû Nu’aym, Hilyah Al-Awliyâ’ 8: 15, 16.

I'm not what you believe
Salam 'alikum,It's true,I recognize myself in that list.I make lots of mistakes from the day till the night;even if I think to Allah with all my heart,I don't remember Him often with the prayers.Sometimes I'm so proud and sure of myself,that I talk to me and say<I may go to pray when I finish to do my jobs>.But the mosts of times I don't go to pray on time because the Evil overcome on me by letting me forget that Allah is the first thing to remember.I claim to be patient,but at the first occasion I'm ready to lose the reason.I'm so wrong with the Creator that sometimes I'm ashamed to pray Him to forgive me.but there's one thing that He maybe forgives and it's hat even if I'm wrong and even if I fall into a mistake,I'm sure that He's looking at me and so I'm not alone,cause He knows what really there is in my heart.When I see a poor man asking for Sadaqa,a part of me cries with him,because I sleep in a warm place and he maybe hsn't any bed and he maybe sleeps in a cold place;I like to give food to poors,but sometimes I'm so sad about their situation,that I make one or two days of Ramadan thinkig to those poors who haven't anything.I hope Allah forgives me for my foolishness.
