The following is an outright fabrication against Allah's Messenger (saw). The hadith master Hafidh Ibn Hajar (d.852H) described it as "manifest falsehood" (Lisan al-Mizan, 5/pp.295-297). Similarly, Shaykh Abdul Aziz ibn Baz - the former Grand Mufti of the Saudi Arabia - said in his 'Fatawaa' (1/p.97) in reference to this hadith: "It is compulsory on a person who finds a paper containing this hadith that he burns it, and warns anyone he finds spreading this narration (i.e. not to spread it), in order to safeguard the Sunnah of the Prophet from the lies of the liars (who fabricated this hadith)".

Sorry for butting in, I don't know much about this, but it IS true that it does not have a source for this at all.

Perhaps it is best to remove this Hadith altogether... but I want people to know it is false, rather then fall into the trap the next time.

PLEASE POST SOURCES WHEN PLACING Qur'aan or Hadith!!!!! It's VERY important!!

Samiha.

(sorry, I have to leave but I wanted to put this in here for good measure!!)

SAYINGS (HADITH) OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD (Sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam)

JazakAllah Kheir for sharing this saying.

However, it cannot be attributed to the prophet pbuh as it is one of the mawdo'aat (fabricated sayings) ... it has no direct link to the prophet pbuh. It is not even classified as da'eef (weak) hadeeth.

The meaning itself, over all points to the punishment of neglecting salaat, which is good. But there are other authentic ahadeth, as well as verses of quran that do describe the punishments.

InshaAllah, I'll elaborate more whn i have time ... if needed
