A Question please

salam,

is anybody here knowledgeable enough to answer me this nagging question?

is there any room for intra-religious pluralism in Islam? in other words, is there any chance that a salafi and a non-salafi school of thought can be both correct on one issue, especially when both the salafi and non-salafi arguments are supported by Quran and Sunnat?

for example, raising the finger in tashhud, most muslims say both methods are correct due to the vast amount of evidence presented by narrators of hadees.

what is the salafi view on this? are only salafis correct? what if a non-salafi scholar presents arguments supported by hadees or sunnat?

to Allah we belong
though only one point is right, but Allah is His infinite mercy, dont hold us accountable if we fail to recognise the right thing.

according to one hadith, if a scholar is right he gets 2 reward and if he is wrong he gets 1 reward.

there are so many differences in Hanafi and Shafi schools like to read Surah Fatihah behind imam or not, where to keep hands in salah, combining prayers while in travel.....but as they both (Imam Abu Hanifa and Imam Shafi -ra-) were scholars and mujtahid...Allah will not punish if we follow them though one of them might be wrong.

PS: the differences are minor. we should try to focus on major issues like beliefs, good deeds, etc.

aselemu aleikum, the 4 madhaabs differ on certain issues, and on other issues they dont differ.

this shouldnt be experienced as a fitna to us muslims, quite the contrary, this is a mercy from the MOST MERCIFULL ALLAH.

as soon as you understand this essential fact, you wont see things as black and white anymore..no more im right they are wrong...

also its very important to learn from all madhaabs, dont follow 1 madhaab blindly, try to seek for the truth always..

raby yahdeena wa ya ziedna ielma...ameen

:salam2:

good read-akhi ayman and ahmed.
back to subject-

Allah said (what means): The first to embrace Islam of the Muhajirin (those who migrated from Makkah to al-Madinah in obedience to Allah) and the Ansar (the citizens of al-Madinah who gave aid to the Muhajirin), and also those who follow them in the best way; Allah is well pleased with them, and they are with Him [At-Tawbah 9:100].

The salafs are best generations as said in Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wasallam) hadith :The best of people is my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them [Bukhari and Muslim]

In the words of shaykh ul Islam Ibn taymiyyah (rahimahuAllah) – the characteristic of people of sunnah is that they follow salafs. in his majmoo fatawa- the way of salaf is nothing but the truth.

the Salaf sources are the Qur an, the Sunnah, and the methodology of as-Salaf: If these scholars rely in their ijtihad on these sources then they take what they say, not because they said it, rather because Allah or His Messenger said it or called to it directly or indirectly through the known channels of ijtihad. The same applies to all scholars throughout the ages. salafis take from them all what conforms with the Qur'an and the Sunnah and reject what does not.

Its not the matter much who says , its mattered what is said !as much I know, if saheeh hadeeth has come from a mushrik, shii than also it cannot be rejected according to scholars as that do not change the status of hadith. So obligation on us to stick to truth of quran and sunnah as understood by salafs. scholars of islam have said to stick to truth ie quran and sunnah and not to particular imam, shaykh or faqeeh. Even the statements of righteous Imams say to adhere to quran and sunnah and if something is against the two islamic sources than follow what quran and sunnah says, which is obligatory -mandatory.

Its following two infallible islam sources Quran and sunnah. in legal, social, or other matters. So wherever you find the haq with evidence then place it above the rest.- jazakAllahu khair.
