smile and sadaqa are secret weapons of da'wah islam. you are genious for knowing these sist.
Prophet Noah was teached us about hajj.
prophet Abraham was teached us about shalat.
prophet Moses was teached us about fasting.
prophet jesus was teached us about jakat.
and our beloved prophet Mustapha Muhammad was teached us about shahada.
and his weapons for da'wah were smile and sadaqa.
No one know the meanin of sadaqa beside our prophet, we don't know the return of our sadaqa/gift in this life.
sadaqa is difference then jakat. The referral of jakat gives when our needs had already fulfilled. But sadaqa gives without this all. sadaqa is pure immolation, sadaqa is love.
Smile means giving expression to someone, we will smile to people when we love them, even we were never met them before and we don't know them. Smile is pure immolation too. often smile was the prominent character of our beloved prophet saaw.

and here some more.
The unpattern of sadaqa must be maintain. Thats the reason why our beloved prophet and his family forbidden/haraam for accepting sadaqa.
why? because if they gave sadaqa, and the other side they accepted sadaqa too. And then the meanin of sadaqa gaved by the prophet and the meanin of sadaqa by people who gaved sadaqa to the prophet will be reputed by the people as the same meanin.
Whereas the meanin of sadaqa gaved by the prophet was very different than the meanin of sadaqa gaved by the people. The prophet gaved sadaqa under knowledge on consciousness/the ocean of knowledges/ lauh mahfuz. So he could conscious about the impact and benefit of the sadaqa in the path of Allah very precisely.
But people gaved sadaqa each other because of command from the prophet, but they still couldn't understand about the meanin of it. Soo they must be ikhlas. Why? because different than the prophet, there are a big possibility that the sadaqa by the people gaved to the less appropriate target. Ikhlas will safe them from the impact of the wrong target.
So if we want to give sadaqa, we better say this: "The intention of this sadaqa that I will give to this man (man is just example) act on behalf of Rasulullah Muhammad, for the sake of the willing of Allah, (because only him whose could understand the impact of gift/sadaqa which in the path of Allah).
Maybe its little bit heavy for beginners. This need a big ikhlas. We know that we are already loss for giving something to the people. But we maintain our heart feels that we still didn't giving anything but the prophet did.
