It's only Sunnah.

This is a statement that I've been hearing ever since I entered Islam. We say this in order to justify doing the bare minimum, but ask yourself. What if Allah only gave us the bare minimum? The basics to live. Allah beautifies His creation for us in order that we might give thanks so why don't we beautify our worship for Him. True, there are things that are not manditory and you may never be able to do everything but instead of finding ways out, why can't we find ways to beautify our worship?

But then again, it's only Paradise right?

The word tomorrow is one of the biggest soldiers of the shatan. How?

He uses it to trick us. I'll do this tomorrow or that tomorrow. I'll start praying tomorrow, I'll wear hijab tomorrow I'll grow my beard tomorrow and so on and so on.

The question is, how can you promise anything to tomorrow, when tomorrow is not promised to you.

You may work long hours for a boss who doesn't care if you live or die. He pays you what he thinks your worth and is done with you at the end of the job.

In the last 3rd of the night ALLAH comes down to the 1st heaven in a manner that befits his majisty and He is answering the prayers of those who are praying to Him.

He isn't asking you for hours, it takes only minutes to pray tahajud. He gives you far more than any boss ever could and you literally get to retire in Paradise.

Take 30 minutes before Fajar and get close to your Lord while he visits the 1st heaven.

Let's pretend you visit a foregn country in order to find work.

They tell you that they are ready to pay you what ever you ask. The only condition? You must learn the language of that country fluently. You must be able to speak and understand the language of that country. Oh and one more thing, your visitor's visa to that country may expire at any time.

How hard would you work in order to learn that language? How many nights would you stay awake?

Well, Allaah spoke in a language many of us don't understandm but He promises Paradise to those who believe in Him and act on their beliefs acording to what He has told them. In His Paradise, you may have what ever you wish for.

The thing is, your visitor's visa to this life may expire at any time. The beauty is, you don't have to be perfectly fluent, you do have to try your best.

Keep trying, keep your head up and inshaaAllaah, you will be playing in the Paradise that belongs to the King Of Kings.

Let's pretend. You work for a boss who loves you. I know, I know but we're only pretending for now.

She/he calls you into the office and begin to tell you that you have been chosen for an amazing promotion. Here's how it works. This is a charity promotion. Every dollar or any form of currency you give will be multiplied by at least 10. Your boss even makes the deal legal with a binding contract.

What would you do? How much would you give?

I mean, even if your salary was low, you would still give because he said what you give would be multiplied by at least 10. That would turn a small salary into a big salary real quick right?

Well, let's stop pretending ok? All of the promises that your imaginary boss made are REAL! These promises were made from above 7 heavens. ALLAH promised these promises and more to those who give for His sake.

Let's pretend. You are invited to court to witness a trial. You've never heard of the criminal before but you know they are a different race than you. Let's stop pretending. When you judge a certain race, tribe or ethnicity, you are basically judging someone who isn't even born yet. Everyone who is born is born innocent no matter what tribe they are or where they came from.

Know for sure that you will be on trial in the court of ALLAH on the day of judgment, don't let racism be one of your crimes. Who your family was or who your tribe was won't matter on that day.

We have the same 24 hour day as anyone else and more important than that, we have the Quran and the Sunna.

If we find good, let's praise ALLAH, and if we find other than that, let's blame no one but ourselves.
