I think this thread is totally wrong from an Islamic viewpoint. Basically, its just saying that strong outspoken women need weak/soft husbands. It should be the other way around. This article is better in a non-muslim forum, not here.

Out of the field of psychology specifically social and organizational; some behavioral extensive studies and research was conducted to learn traits of primate behavior. Patterns emerged in the complex social structure of the primates. Some psychologists replicated studies with human subjects.
In any hierarchy there is a pecking system. And the alpha male is the absolute leader. In the animal kingdom the various animals battle to the point of death to be the dominant leader.
This is the world of nature and man is an animal.

In my point of view, this formula is applicable to all modes of relationships..
I mean, not only husband and wife, BUT.. friends, children, parents, siblings, neighbors.. why even strangers..
When one becomes rough the other one have to become soft.. THAT IS A COMMON FACT..
so that there might come a balanced platform We have to be both, Alpha and beta, depending upon the circumstances
