Im here with an other doubt....some one told me, that there is a Hadeeth which says that if u die buy any disasters of water you will enter Jannah..

is that authentic??? is it a truth???

I was thinking, that when Ayishe (Ral) said that you will enter Jannah to a new born baby, who passed away immediately after the birth, Rasoolulah said that non but ALLAH knows about it...if so how is this possible...??
plus, Firawn died under the water...but he is gonna go to Jahannam...right??

1. there is a hadith that those who die by drowning are shaheed. but for that a person must believe in Allah. pharoah was a kafir.

Allah's Messenger :saw2: asked: "Who do you consider to be a martyr?" They said: "O Allah's Prophet, he who is killed fighting for the cause of Allah." The Prophet said: "He who is killed fighting for Allah's cause is a martyr, he who dies in the cause of Allah is a martyr, he who dies in an epidemic is a martyr, he who dies from a stomach disease is a martyr, and the one who dies of drowning is (also) a martyr." (Muslim, no: 891)

2. there are 2 views. first that maybe afterwards it was revealed that children who dies before puberty will go to jannah. second view is that indeed only Allah knows that what they might have done after puberty.

As rightly explained by brother ahmed above, not anyone who drowns is a shaheed (martyr) just because he was from a muslim family or of muslim lineage.

The person has to be a faithful believer in sight of Allah azz zawajal. Martyrdom is gained by those striving in the way of Allah. A muslim could be struggling, fighting, striving etc for the sake of nationalism, money, family honor etc etc, yet that is not undertaking jihad and nor does one attain martyrdom in getting killed while striving for worldly things.

The same way it would apply to the one who drowned. At most, it can be taken as solace of a grieving family (who lost someone due to drowning), that Allah in His infinite mercy *might* count him amongst the 'shaheed'.

It should be also noted that we don't know who has gained martyrdom in the sight of Allah and who has not. This knowledge is only with Allah azz zawajal. Therefore, we can not make statements such as "Mujahideen XYZ or person ABC has gained martyrdom (is a shaheed)".

Though we can make dua for these people that Allah azz zawajal accepts their act and grants them martyrdom. We humans don't possess this knowledge.

And Allah knows best. Wasalaamalaykum waa rahmatullahi
