Asalamualikum,
It is just the simple fear of 'Islam' taking over...which has been the excuse for other religions to fear what they do not know.....to be a very peaceful and submissive faith towards God/Allah in Islam. It is all from Abraham....whom all faiths know about.
America wants to take God out of the pledge of allegence, take God out of the court room, remove all kinds of God things....(little do they know that God/Alah is responsible for us being here in the first place....)
Television is a media that can help to show everyone that Islam is not horrible...as the propoganda has made it to be.
