The article does not mention how much money is taken by the following from poor countries-

Western Multinational companies and monopolisation of trade, special privileges, severe disruption of local market and indigenous industries, removal of taxation, tariffs and setting of own prices for purchase of raw materials from poorer nations

Neo Colonialism

'Free Market' Policies

Expenditure to maintain and support a Western military presence in the country

Western Pharmaceutical companies [not necessarily multinational] whose products are largely banned in the West because of illegal, harmful and dangerous medicine

UN Sanctions

On-going imposition of World Bank policies that have proved to be economically unproductive and detrimental to poorer nations

Irresponsible threats of sanctions and removal of loans by the World Bank for following economic policies that actually work [but did not stem from the WB]

Long term financial loss due to forced removal of governments that benefit the majority of poorest of people and local industry

Western imposition of dictatorships that represent major landowners and minority groups that exploit the masses
