Assalam Alaikum: My Islamic Br's & Sis's.
Once during my initial days of reversion,I accompanied by my closest friend went to pray Isha at the Masjid. The people at the Masjid always try to pray as much as possible in the manner Prophet (SAW) used to pray. Even the formation of Saf (rows) for prayers is highly systematic.
When I and my friend reached the prayer hall, already prayer had began. The second Saf was not fully complete. My friend indicated me to go towards left of the second Saf and join it. He joined the same Saf at extreme right. But I misinterpreted his indication. And instead of being the part of second Saf,I went to stand alone and isolated behind second Saf,adjacent to the wall, although there was sufficient space in second Saf to accommodate me. After the finish of forth Rakat of the prayer, I stood again to pray the first Rakat that I missed.
Now while praying the missed Rakat I noticed that most of the people those finished their prayer, were looking strangely towards me. I any how quickly finished the missed Rakat. As I went free from the prayer, they all caught me and argued why was I praying in isolation in a congregational prayer. I told them that my friend directed me to stand there and so I prayed at place indicated by him. Listening this my friend hit his palm to his forehead and said I told you to join second Saf at left and not to stand and pray in isolation. The event ended with a huge laughter. But I went extremely shy.
To be continued......
Best Regards.
Abdullah.
