As-salamu alaikum dear brothers and sisters,

I hope none of us Muslims belong, in one way or another, to this group of people.

1539. Ibn Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "None of my Companions should convey to me anything regarding another because I desire to meet everyone of you with a clean heart.''

[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].
Lessons from this Hadeeth

* The phrase
" should not convey to me anything" signifies anything undesirable or which is harmful for the person concerned.

* Guard your tongue, as every word uttered thoughtlessly - without thinking whether its consequences are good or not - can cause the speaker to fall down into hellfire deeper than the distance between the east and the west.

* Remember the order of Allah the Exalted, "... Do not help one another in sin and transgression.'' (5:2)

* Beware of carrying tales to responsible people to avoid the ill consequences of such a detestable act.
