I began to study and attempt to submit to the will of Allah in 2004 Alhamdulillah.
I make regular prayers, although I often miss dhuhr and sometimes asr on my job and make them up at home. I miss jummat very often and I have yet to really join a community or masjid.
My reasons for not doing so are complex but in general they come down to fear and laziness. I want to begin attending the masjid near my residence regularly but I am hesitant because I feel it will affect my schedule and the other things I am trying to be responsible for in life: cooking my meals, keeping up my apartment, getting exercise and doing garden work.
I joined this site because I want to make the necessary steps to join a community and do it in the right way. I just need help from brothers and sisters to find the strength and faith to do so. Inshallah.
There are many things I want to discuss, but for now I am happy to make this my first real attempt at joining a community, though it is only the internet it is a step in the right direction, Inshallah.
