Mashallah I became muslim 9 years ago allhamdullilah when I was 21 .
I was happy to see when you said your name was berber. My husband speaks berber but he wont pass this language to his kids. I will be happy if they just learn to read and write arabic and english inshallah.

Now they go to islamic school to learn to read and write in order to understand Quran which is the most important to learn!

Also, my father didn't want us to speak the language "tamazight" .
But When I went to the blad (my parents small vilage in the middle atlas) I couldn't understand the language. also now I'm working with amazighn people and I regret not speaking tamazight.
I'm doing my best to learnt it via internet.
