Assalam alaikum! My name is Dawn. I'm 25 years old and I live in the United States in the state of Missouri. I reverted in May of this year. With the burning question seeming to be (atleast where I live I get asked this all the time!) "Who told you to convert? Who is he?" The answer is......no man told me to convert. There was no man involved in my conversion. Allah brought me to Islam. I was curious to know what it is, began reading the Qur'an and studying it and then it smacked me in the head. Islam is so common sense, it makes perfect sense. So I said shahada with some of the women in the town I lived in and here we are today alhamdulillah!

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and say salam to everyone! SOOOOO.....

I just wonder what kind of people would ask you "who did you revert for?"....I doubt these are practicing Muslims, because if they were they would know that only Allah knows the intention of a individual. It would be absurd for someone to even revert for the sake of a person, because they are commiting shirk which is ulitmately the same as Christianity who associate prophet Isa (peace be upon him) to Allah swt.

To TheHumbleWun: Sadly, most of the people I get these questions from are in the masjid when they ask me. The next question I get is "What degree do you have?" It's rather frustrating!
