It might have started with the adhan, the call to prayer, that always fascinated that five-year-old boy, and then led him to accept Islam after a long trip across time and place.
However, as I look back, it was as a five-year-old in Bahrain and later as a young man in India, where the sight of Muslims at prayer and the muezzin’s call to prayer made the most lasting impression of all my overseas experiences. Just hearing the adhan excited me. It made me feel good inside (as it still does today) and, no matter what I was doing, I always paused to listen whenever I heard it. Little did I know at the time that the adhan would later become such an important part of my life.

Azaan : is an incredible medium for the proclamation of Tawheed (Oneness of God) of Almighty Allaah and Risalaat (Prophethood) of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, this Islaamic prayer call (sounding words) to Muslims, which constantly echoes around the globe five times every day.
Five times a day, every day, a muezzin climbs to the minaret and calls the faithful to prayer, his voice ringing clear over the rooftops and across the streets...
'There is not a single moment when thousands if not hundreds of thousands of Muâazzins around the world are not proclaiming the Oneness of Almighty Allaah and the Prophethood of the noble Prophet MuhammadSallallahu Alayhi Wasallam on the face of this earth!

SOME EXPERIENCES OF NON-MUSLIMS WITH THE CALL TO PLAYER

The adhan touched his heart so deeply, especially when it was followed by the prayer that his friends and other Muslims never failed to fulfill. It did not take long before he felt it was Islam and Allah that he had been searching for.
