Being Muslim (revert) in India:

As people have said it's important to know what is the aqeedah or creed of the people you meet.

It's not to divide us it's to see who is on the right path for example
calling urself hanafi or malaki or hanbali those have nothing to do with aqeedah those are simply fiqh schools ( sharia schools ) so dont lable urself as one of those becuase they are the same in aqeedah like here in Saudi arabia in the supreme court all 4 madhabs ( hanafi, malaki, hanbali, and shafi'i are considered) however when you talk about shias, isma'ilis or other "Sects" those people have false AQEEDH that is why it's very important to differentiate ourselves from them.

Please dont confuse tagging with clarifying aqeedh dont separate urself in those 4 schools of thoughts ( stated above ) they are all the same they call for the same thing little differences but all of those imams are known to be righteous and they all follow quran and sunnah.
but other sects have different beliefs regarding God attributes for example or the sahabah as stated above which sometimes can get out of Islam such as shirk or cursing the sahaba.
