Personally neither of those instances require an apology. Just because it is offensive doesn't mean you deserve an apology. I saw the cartoons and saw nothing wrong with them since christians are ridiculed on a daily basis.

On that note what does an apology actually achieve? If the US says sorry about that whole Iraq thing will anything be acomplished?

you cant seriously be comparing the iraq war (700,000 iraqi deaths, 4million refugees) to an act of insulting????? in the case of cartoons APOLGISE cause the actions here is termed "INSULTING". In the case of Iraq, its a war based on LIES, and thus now a occupation so COMPENSATE iraq for the suffering it has brought about and help them rebuild.
