"Certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him)"
- Quran, Surah Ali Imran, verse 159
"And by the Mercy of Allah, you (Prophet Muhammad SAW) dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allah's) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him)."
This verse is about the Battle of Uhud, where the believers were under trying times as they were facing defeat due to the rash actions of a few who eyed the booty. Yet even in the most difficult of circumstances, our Prophet, peace & blessings be upon him, was able to act gently & without reproach because Allah put mercy in his heart due to his trust in Allah, Al Wakil. The word 'Mutawakkilin' is related to Allah's name, Al Wakil.
